THANK YOU!!!

Hello Everyone,

UPDATE! Thank you Julie! the site is fixed!

I've received so many positive and heartfelt messages, I'll get to reading every one of them as soon as I'm able.

Whatever your opinions are about the outcome and more specifically if you are distraught over the show's decision, I want you all to know that I feel in life things happen for a reason. I believe this Project Runway experience and it's outcome happened for a reason. I'm overwhelmed and blessed to have had this opportunity and I'm grateful to receive all of your kind and inspirational words.

I'd like to especially thank all of you who have been with me from the very beginning. Those of you who realized you were watching a TV show and saw my essence through the brief and edited character portrayed in the storyline of the show. I was really amused by the whole thing and have NO REGRETS. I understood that the end would justify the means and that at the end of the day I'm a genuine and passionate human being with a sense of humor and a love for life. Thank you all so much, keep checking back, the site should be back to normal soon!

Warmest Regards,
SANTINO

Santino you rock, I am so dissapointed you did not win, you have so so so much talent. I believe your collection was much stronger than Chloe's but c'est la vie, I hope that you go on to bigger and better things.

Awe Santino you are so amazing. I love your style and the works of art you create. I may have gotten pissed at you a few times but in the end I really liked you. Things do happen for a reason. I think we grow from them and I have faith you will grow and one day when we are both famous you can create my dress.
Best Regards,
Sarah
Puyallup, WA

You know, it was easy to hate the stank attitude you seemed to have throughout the show--and, easy to dismiss it as hubris. But you made great clothes, and you spoke your mind, and said things that needed to be said. Most of the time. ;-) At any rate, you final collection was the best, hands down--I LOVED it! Now, would you make some kick ass dresses for a black woman who's a busty size 6??

Yay! First comment since the site was fixed.

We're so proud of you Santino!

You're not a loser, you're a winner - totally!

Ha!

Look forward to your collection!

Santino,

I am sending you a great big hug from Brooklyn! You are so awesome and I am as proud of you as if you were my own brother!

I hope that one day I will be able to tell people that "I am wearing Santino Rice." (It will happen, you just wait.)

Please continue to be passionate and loud and funny and sensitive and generous and serious and all of the things you are. I wish you many decades of success, riches, happiness and JOY!

All the best,
Darla

Glorious Santino. Absolutely Glorious!

am i the first comment???
wow! well, i'm so glad that you are being optimistic about the result of the show. I know that you have talent and although the result was beyond shady, i know that the show has given a chance for you to shine to the public. I hope to keep in touch with you and hopefully someday, when i'm walking down the red carpet for my excellent movie (in my dream) i'll wear a dress by you!

From the president of Team Santino Livejournal:

I posted this on LJ following the finale.

http://community.livejournal.com/projectrunway/333011.html#cutid1

I am linking because its really long. The replies also give a hint that a lot of people really really appreciate you, even those who didnt want you to win.

All that night I felt dirty, but the next morning, I felt clean. You really had "The best week ever" or "the best PR experience ever" . People that hated you eventually grew to understand you, even Chloe (when she says that eventually she did understand you, I believe her.) You have reawakened a lot of people's desire to create, which is a need that I thought was dead by 1998. Thank you and Jay McCarroll, and even thanks to project runway, crazy judges and all, for bringing YOU to us.

Big hugs!

Daniel

Santino, When Heidi said those words on Wednesday I just wanted to go Elvis on my TV & shoot it!! I felt so profoundly bummed out for you. But now? I think it doesn't matter because all that show stuff was just sort of an illusion~ you are just fine & gonna go on to the next step. I'm excited to see what it will be. *happy* xox~yer fan Majie

THE SITE'S FIXED! I missed it so much. Yeah, I know it was only a couple of days, but..."My name is Ms. G. and I'm a santinorice.com-aholic."
The new issue of "Us Weekly" (March 20, 2006 - says "Oscar Fashion Special" across the top of the cover) has an article about Chloe, with a sidebar about Santino, with quotes and a nice little color picture!

Santino, I was angry when you lost, I must admit-but I know you'll be successful because you have talent and drive and you are AMAZING!

I adore you because you take chances.

Don't ever change. Also...

you and Cloe should date or something.

Love, Mel

Santino,

I couldn't even look at the TV screen when Heidi eliminated you. I've had a few days to think about your loss (and--ugh--Chloe's win) and my anger has subsided a bit. A lot of my fellow posters got it right: you wouldn't have fit in at Banana Republic. Daniel would have, Chloe does, but you're too much of a shining star to take the back seat as an intern at some second-rate clothing store. The money, the car, and the representation all would have been nice, but in a way that prize could have stagnated your career had you won. And, as sad as this is, the judges decided long before Fashion Week that you were not going to be the winner. They couldn't choose another Jay. Hell, Nina Garcia, when asked why she chose Chloe, said Chloe had been consistent throughout the whole show. She commented very little about Chloe's FW collection. Okay, everyody knows you, Daniel, and Chloe are amazingly talented. Everybody knows, especially you, that you created some ridiculous outfits during Project Runway. But I thought the whole point was to make it to the top three and then bring it on at Fashion Week. I guess that was just bullshit. They didn't want you to win. Also, imagine this: if Daniel or Chloe had sent your line down the runway at FW, would the judges have reacted differently? I think so.

Santino, I faithfully watched the entire season of PR 2. At the end your true personality shone through and it was wonderful to see. You have my utmost respect. Best of luck! You will have a bright future!

Santino, I just wanted to give you a hug from the folks at Blogging Project Runway.

Personally, when I saw your collection back on February 10 I thought you had easily won. Your garments were beautiful, especially the one worn by Heather. They were sexy, feminine and elegant.

We know we will see more of you and want you to know you have lots and lots of fans on our site. We wish you well.

A heapin' spoonful of love!

All the best and good luck to you, Santino.

Keep on a-rockin'.

isn't it sad that i was totally depressed the next day after you lost. i have never even commented on a message board in my life, but i am suddenly compelled. i grew up in houston Chloe's collection reminded me of shopping for prom dresses in 1989. i have been miserable trying to find bridesmaid's dresses for an October wedding and everything SUCKS. without taking this the wrong way (as bridal fashion is usually ghastly) I would DIE to have that final dress for my girls. am I rich enough?

by the way, i won the auction for the German lingere. i've never even been on ebay.

huge, huge fan of you and your things ...

i absolutely love you, you wonderful man!

i am profoundly attracted to you, are you on the market?

I wanted to say that I thought your collection was very cool and I don't understand the apparently easy dismissal of your work by the judges. I agree with Tim Gunn. Poorly fitted, maybe, but poorly made?? Not! Very interesting stuff from my layman's view.

I honestly feel like the talent was evenly spread between you, Chloe, and Daniel. Any one of you could have won and it would have been a good choice.

I suspect that they went with Chloe because the Bravo producers may have been a bit burned by Jay last season as he didn't take the prize money and has foundered financially since.

When Chloe said that she was a designer/marketer and that it would definitely be a business for her, I think their eyes lit up! That edged what was otherwise a very tough decision for them.

I hope that your show in NYC brings you enough attention that you continue to do well and get many opportunities.

Incidentally, Kara was a real surprise as well. I loved her dayglo hippie chic. It would have really interesting if she had made to the final three!

Santinoooo!!!

I cried when you didn't win. My mom and I have been rooting for you from day one. I totally agree with you on how things happen for a reason and I believe you are going to go very far in life. When I am rich and famous one day, I will definitely be calling you to design a dress for me!

Lots of love,
Olivia

and I am profoundly attracted to the german undies you made- would love to see the dark, wild side of Santino in women's lingerie- you would have a huge fan in me!

You are an inspiration and I just adore you!!!!!

I posted on your blog, on Tuesday, March 07, 2006 6:04PM: this is my follow up.
I viewed your Collection, before the Finale. I loved all of it. Everything you designed on the show, I loved it all. Like I said the last time, IT'S PURE ART, Genius Creation. Im a business man myself here in New York, I Co-Produce films, commercials, TV shows. I was breathless with anticipation waiting to see the finale. I could not believe what happened. I thought you definitly had it. My Jaw hit the floor! I turned off the T.V. They said your line was 'tamed', what F-ing Bull**It.
In the end, I know, It's only about the money. Chloe has a store in Texas and the producers bagged it. Banana Republic will release her line ASAP in her store and bring in profits while waiting for Distribution.
You, are not just great T.V. You are great period! The producers are kicking themselves as we speak. They know they made the wrong decision, you know it too and so does Tim and most of America! America Loves you Santino!

If they are not going to make you a counter offer, I would be suprised if they have not already, and put together Project Santino or get you licensing, Well then 'Someone else' would have to do give you your own show.
We will call it...

"The Santino Show"

Everyone Wants to See SANTINO!

Everyone Wants to Wear SANTINO!

You will be at the TOP, bro...
You Are The Only One That Is Deserving Of This!

Stewart
A great fan in New York.

you are so fantastic. I'm so sorry you didnt win, but I'm sure you're destined for bigger and better things. you're clothes are terrific. you are great! keep doing what you're doing!

hi santino,
wow!! u r really a great person..actually i really like the way u see life..i mean enjoying each and every moment like singing songs ...making other people laugh especially when u r talking like TIM wow!!. and at the same time i also saw a very determined and a very confident person...i was so much disappointed when u didnt win..but the thing is u didnt lose either...but as u say everything happens for a reason..i really hope u ll have the life as u always dreamed of..all my very best wishes to you..

the show was fixed santino. you should've won. please design clothes in stores around massachusetts!

Santino,I am so dissapointed that you did not win. The collection you made was GREAT.I would deffiantly wear the dress worn by Heather to the next semi-formal dance at my school. You are an amazing designer and I hope that one day that you come out with your own collection. When you do I'll deffiantly go out and buy it. Also by the way we have the same last name.

Santino, I didn't love to hate you or hated to love you... I just Loved you... since episode one. I believe out of all of them you were able to make yourself noticed and I think that anyone who could do that deserves credit. I figured before the last episode ended that you weren't going to win simply because it was either you was outrageous or just not enough. I still think your the best and you are some hot stuff.

i am profoundly attracted to you, are you on the market?

"Project Runway - Season 2" may have had the best cast in reality TV history! I'd like to see a bunch of them live together for a couple of weeks in the "Surreal Life" house. Here's who should be there: Santino (no, duh), Tim Gunn and our little lamb (again, no duh), either one of the Daniels, Diana, Kara and Nina Garcia. Just THINK of the trouble they could get into!

I shall die if you don't post your song. Pleaseeeee for the love of everything you believe in post that song.

My Wednesdays are going to be that much more boring without getting to see you on tv- don't you dare ever give up, Santino, there are so many of us out here who adore you and your work!

Santino, you were my favorite since the first episode. I still consider you a winner in my eyes. =)

I hope to see your work on the runway in the near future!

PS: I absolutely looove your final dress. It was beautiful.

santino, you fucking rock. your collection was incredible, and no offense to chloe but hers was a piece of shit.
you're cool.
i love you.
the end.

dearest santino,

i simply MUST acquire the musical track you produced and played at your final fashion week runway show. I compile mixes of unheard musical gems for my own pleasure (a bedroom dj if you will...) and i think it would be a perfect opening track for volume two of my project! i will send you a copy of volume one if you like...i think you would dig it.

also if you are ever in chicago again please dont go to delilahs. its cute i guess but you are more the Rodan-type. you should make a guest appearance some weekend!

anyhow. im off to google the continual emaciation of karl lagerfeld. until next time. ta-ta

love,
me

Santino, you were robbed. Your collection was beautiful, and you were a welcome relief from the usual reality contestant. Wishing you great sucess!

your collection was waay better than Chloe's.
I love you.
You're awesome.
The End.

Hey Santino... I'm from houston and I've been to Chloe's store here. She doesn't deserve to win. I agree with you that she's but a mere pattermaker... not fit for the runway. I think you're the next John Galiano=)

Santino - - maybe some would find it corny, but when I think of you (and when I try to live in my own truths - - which you have encouraged me to do by just you being you - - all the good stuff that was clear, even from the editing on PR), a song comes in my head - -

Yeah, hey
When you wish upon a star
Dreams will take you very far, yeah
When you wish upon a dream
Life ain´t always what it seems, oh yeah
Once you see your light so clear
In the sky so very dear

You´re a shining star, no matter who you are
Shining bright to see what you can truly be
That you can truly be

Shining star come into view
Shine is watchful light on you, yeah
Gives you strength to carry on
Make your body big and strong
Future roads for you to pass
Love to watch your mug past

The shining star, lucky you

Always a shining star, Santino.

Santino for President! Santino you rock and ARE more than just good T.V.! You are FANTASTIC T.V. and a fabulous designer! Good luck and many kisses!
LB

You collection was breath taking and incredibly inspiring. I look forward to seeing your future collections. With your incredible personal style and presence, I am sure we will be seeing allot from you in the future. I am eagerly awaiting your next collection.
~Tammy~

You are awesone. Although, I have to admit, the way the show "portrayed" you, I really hated you, for a while. But, really, the finale turned it around. You are a very talented man, and in many areas. Your clothes are beautiful - and I hope you will start selling them. But, I also see a career in stand-up comedy or a sitcom. You were so funny, at times:) My husband and I had tears, we were laughing so hard. Thanks for the entertainment. And, thanks for sharing your dreams and gifts with the world. Keep designing - stay you!

i honestly think you are brilliant and that you definitely should have won project runway, but honestly though you've won me as a fan of your fashion sense, designs and as a role model. you rock!

I'm so proud and enthralled by you, Santino! Loved you from the start, would love to be your plus sized muse!

I know that you'll make a name for yourself in fashion, and i'm relieved that you won't be held back or tied down by all things banana republic.

I look forward to seeing your work in seasons to come, and wish you all the best, from the heart.

You are most inspiring!

Most Sincerely,

Brittany @ B. Ella Bridal

Ok, Santino you didn't win Project Runway, but honestly I think you're in a much better spot. You don't have the constraints of working for Banana Republic, so you won’t have to modify your esthetic to suit them, and you have gained the support and admiration of so many people (including myself) who not only respect and marvel at the art you create, but also thoroughly enjoy your hilarious wit. It's corny and cliché, but everything happens for a reason, and you're at just the beginning of your success. I think it will be very interesting to watch what promises to be an extraordinary career. Revolutionize the fashion world, Santino! Maybe you can make it possible for people with less than Trump-like bank accounts to afford stunning and original clothes. Make it work!!!

and the music you created for your show was so good! I love it!

This post has been removed by a blog administrator.

Glad you find it funny... I find it sexy.

You are a genuine, creative, and beatuiful person; watching your character on TV but more importantly reading your blog and intervies is a special, invigorating part of my day. You're an inspiration, of course, and your no-regrets is wonderful to me, becuase experiencing Santino was wonderful despite the loss at Fashion Week.

Honestly, though, your Fashion Week collection was such a win in its own right, but I'm sure you know all this-- and I'm sure you love hearing it again.

Now stop reading all these wondeful comments and keep showing yourself to this world! We need you, boy, and there are many of us who love you, and if we don't life sure does. Rock on. Santino forever.

Santino,

What's happening?
Awesome job on P.R.

I really loved the pink dress that was first down the runway. Your collection was breathtaking. Thanks for making PR a fun show to watch. I don't think you're actually a bad guy. :) I bet you even TIP at restaurants.

Much love from a Chicago Waitress,

Jackie
"86 tips?"

Man Santino i can't believe it. when i heard those words, that u were eliminated my heart & my mouth dropped. i was in shock and became overwhelmed with sadness. After they made that announcement i wanted to stop watching the show. i lost total interest in it. i don't know that i'll watch another season of the show. I was so disappointed with the outcome. Chloe is a good designer but i couldn't believe she won. i think u should have won. u have the whole package- u r funny, witty, smart, talented, & u r an all around fabulous human being. i love u very much Santino. I wish u the best of luck u r so talented that i know u will succeed. still i can't believe they did that 2 u. well take care sweetie, mua mua.
mayra :)

Man. I truly was pissed off on Wednesday night...and through most of Thursday as well. I was all ready to commense bemoaning the ongoing loss of American creativity with an entirely new bitter passion, but then I realised.

Your true victory was being the most amazingly, brutally honest person in the history of reality television, or all television for that matter, or perhaps even all of reality. That goes for your thoughts on your fellow designers as well as your designs, of course. And you kept that honesty with you to the very end, no matter how many times people call you out for "playing it safe." You were still you, at the end of the day, and that's something that only around 0.000000000000000001% of us humans can ever pull off.

So now I expect you will start hatching some new and slightly excessive plans for world domination, and you'll find that global takeover is a hell of a lot easier than pleasing a short-sighted crowd/panel of judges/large percentage of the public.

Thanks for having a point of view.

I'm actually glad you didn't win. You have enough determination, passion, and skill to figure it all out on your own without compromising a thing. I don't think they would have let you win considering a sort of "out there" designer won already. All the best.

Santino, you are so freaking awesome! You were the best part of the show!!!! I love ya! Best of luck to you in all of your endeavors and I look forward to your next "project"!

Amy :)

You clearly had the best collection. You were the only one with a true artist's vision. Your competitors were pod people. Unfortunately, it seems the pod people usually win. Anyone with a soul has to fight and scrape and claw just for a seat at the table. I hope you continue to fight and assert your point of view. The world needs more Santinos and fewer pod people, more artists and fewer stuffed business suits, more genius and less mediocrity. I think you have inspired a lot of people to have the bravery to be who they really are. As you say, it is probably all for the best. You outgrew their little contest long ago. Now on to much greater things.

Santino! I think it's better that you didn't win because now you can do your own thang!
The collection was great by the way.
Any offers on that fierce evening gown?

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!!!!!

BEST OF LUCK,
California Love ;0)

OH SNAP! I FORGOT TO MENTION THE SONG!!!
WHAT THA!!?!?!? THAT IS A HOUSE SINGLE WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!

MULTI-TALENTED BABY.

FIERCE.

CALIFORNIA LOVE :0)

Santino you are my hero. Please don't stop designing clothing...you're fucking brilliant. You say that the outcome of project runway happened for a reason. I hope you're not interpreting from the outcome that you weren't meant for the retail industry...because you are goddamn it. I want to own every piece you made...I don't think your collection was safe at all. I don't think it is extra embroidery or accessories that make an outfit safe or unsafe...no, actually, fashion is art and it should not be categorized as safe or unsafe. It shouldn't be categorized as anything...which is one thing I completely disagreed with on the show. I feel that america should have been the judges. The 4 people who were judges at each runway do not have the authority to declare something beautiful or not, I don't care how successful they are. Look you are just amazing and please please please don't stop creating brilliant clothing.

You should have won. Please post that song you made!!!

santinooooooo!
you better keep on going. Cuz I am waiting bated for more. your creativity makes me excited about clothes. no one does that.
rock on.
Mo in arizona

Hey dude, I'm glad your site's back up so I can at least say you should definitely be proud of your hard work. And I also thought it was great that we got to see a little of your humble side before the show was over . . .

One of the reasons why I love the show is because, watching you guys in the middle of your "missions", watching you all work in a fluster motivates and propels me while working on my book and short stories, much like to the effect of having music or a particular song on repeat in the background.

I hope if my book ever gets to where I want it to be, that at least by then I'll *have* to be pretty affluent just to be able to afford your clothes!

Take care, Santino, and be well. Know that good people know you are one and the same.

I watched the Garden Party episode again today and the whole "Timpersonation" section is so utterly hilarious. Nick running to Andre whispering "he's CONFRONTING HIM!!". Just hilarious. That show will never be as fun without you.

Project Santino? I hope so!

Your collection was SO gorgeous- you won in many people's eyes, which is pretty obvious from the PR auctions- your clothes are going for much higher than anyone else's.

If anything, PR was a stepping stone to a hugely successful career that we all know you are going to have, you definately deserve it!!!

And by the way, whatever doubts you have about yourself, you can put to rest. You have an incredibly creative and expressive mind, and you are fucking hilarious. Not to mention your gorgeous eyes, sexy voice, and immensely kissable lips (whew.... I'm getting a little flushed just thinking about it!!!!!)

ROCK ON SANTINO, THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!!! LOVE YA!!!!

Santino, I am not gonna lie. I despised you on PR at first. Now I know the beauty behind your madness. I was so mad that you did not win and even more because you were the first out! What was that about? Your collection was the most well thought out and also soooo gorgeous. Loved it. I know you will be great anyway, that goes without saying. Oh and I am from Saint Charles MO too! I saw your story in the Post Dispatch, it was sweet! It is so cool that there is someone like you from Saint Charles! I love it!

Yaaaay it's back!!!!! I was going through withdrawls! LOL
Santino, I emailed you about the finale so I'll just say here that you rock and I see very good things ahead for you! Lots of love and a big cyber hug!

xx

your friend if you need it,

sage

...at the end of the day I'm a genuine and passionate human being with a sense of humor and a love for life.

And there, folks, are the words of a true Boddhisatva in training. You're King Shit, Santino. The coolest. I hope this isn't the last we see of you. Somehow I doubt that it will be.

XOXOX

Dear Santino,
Your colection took my breath away. Whenever I feel down about your loss I go to BravoTV.com. Seeing that your collection is selling for twice what Chloes' is never fails to make me feel better. The people have spoken! Love, Heather

Santino... you ROCK!!!

From the Tim Gunn impressions... which I wish we could have seen all of them because I have this feeling they only showed a fraction of them... to your AMAZING collection at fashion week.

I must say at time in the show I wanted to throttle you, but your talent won me over and I've been a Santino fan since the first show.

I can't wait to see what you do in the future!!!! :)

Santino.. my enigmatic, chic, fashion god.

Though you did not win, I really hope to be seeing you sometime down the road with your own collections adorning Vogue and such, because I know you'll be everywhere soon. Nobody can knock you down. And one day I hope to be out on the town and someone will come up to me, complimenting my rocking outfit and I shall say, "Oh, I'm wearing Santino Rice, of course."

You may not have one, which admittedly I was dissapointed about but the only person I seem to be hearing about my dear is you you you! Chloe? Who's she. I kid. I liked everyone in the final three but I really thought your stuff was the best. I look forward to hearing more about you, I'm sure I will.
-Arian

first of all... i just wanna say from the start you had me. theres no word to describe you.. altho amazing and talented come close, its not even enough! i think by far you should have won, you had the heart, dedication, and as everyone knows - talent. i dont feel you played it safe at all, i dont think ive ever seen clothes more gerogus and rich looking then what you made. this definatly isnt the end for you! and like you, i to believe that everything happens for a reason.. and this is only the start to an amazing adventure for you!!

your the fucking greatest thing ever and I LOVE YOU!!!!! good luck with everything you do! and remember... make it work!!!

xoxox :)<3

p.s.. one of my moms friends works for michael koors.. and she said he thinks he looks hott as hell with those sunglasses on, even tho everyone busts him about it :)

Santino, you are undeniably talented and I know everyone ultimately saw that from the beginning. A reality show competition is very rarely ever completely fair or fulfilling. I hope I can go on a big shopping spree for beautiful Santino Rice clothes in the very near future.

I am a huge Project Runway fan and was thrilled that a hometowner (St. Chuck, MO) with such charisma and talent made it on. I am still reeling that Miss Chloe won. Not that she's not talented but I agreed completely with your assessment that she's basically a pattern maker. Santino, I wish you all the luck and success in the world. You are an amazing beast!

Santino, I thought your collection was beautiful, and I thought it was totally lame for Nina to say it was safe??? The clothes were tasteful and gorgeous and original. Nina is completely out to lunch. She couldn't design her way out of a paper bag... Those who can't do...edit magazines. I hope the publicity from the show will help you start your own line again. Or there's always the Boys from 35B Line, which could be very interesting.

you're hot!!!!!!

Santino you should have won!!! I was so sad. I am an aspiring designer myself and you are such an inspiration. You have so much talent, I just don't think the world is ready for you. You are amazing and I hope you start your own line, I'll be waiting in line to buy it!

Dude, I have such a TV crush on you. I loved the way you acted out on the show and really "got" what your designs were saying. I hope you exceed Tim Gunn's expectations (a boutique in a store and that's it? not so much.) and blow us all away with ready to wear *and* couture. Go get 'em! Big hugs from Chicago.

Santino-

I couldn't watch the end of the project runway finale after they voted you off. Not that it means anything. I think you got what you needed to get out of the experience. Winning would have just been an extra little perk. So when are you going to open a store in New York so I can buy your stuff? Anyway, thanks for being the highlight of my week the past few months. You're talented and very entertaining. If people couldn't handle your sense of humor, whatever...they need to lighten up. Goodluck man...
-Mick

Santino,

I am a very big fan of yours. It was my first time watching PR and your persona stood out immediately and most distinctly. Your designing style matches your character, and I really admire that. To create beauty is one of the greatest aims in life, and I'm so glad that you feel that that is your purpose. Really looking forward to the clothing that you will be designing, wearable art.

Santino -

When P.R. first started you stood out because of your larger-than-life personality and matching designs. Then, as you got closer to the final three, (and after Tim had his little talk with you about how to better respond to the judges) I felt as if we saw your true personality come out.

As another person who tends to use sarcasm to mask sensitivity, I totally "got" you on the show. Add me to the legions of folks who thought it was hypocritical of the judges to bash your PR designs as "too Santino" (whatever that means) and then turn around and bash your Fashion Week collection as "not Santino enough." Make up your minds, bitches!

I'm sad you didn't win, but hopefully the exposure you received on PR will help you go far with your career.

I'm going to name my first born (regardless of gender) Santino. Thanks man!

My 11 year old daughter and I sat dumbfounded watching the winner of PR being announced. We were truly disappointed...Santino, your collection was just beautiful, the fabrics, colors, the lines. I hope you show up as a guest judge for Season 3 of PR. Until then my daughter and I will continue to sing "Daniel Franco, Where Did You Go" and "Lighten Up It's Just Fasion". See you in Vogue!!!

Santino,
My girlfriend loves your creativity... and I 'm happy for you that u got to experience PROJECT RUNWAY...

u ROck man...

I was so disappointed that they did not choose you to win on Project Runway. I was a fan of yours from day 1. I think everyone was hypocritical on the show--they all talked about each other and said nasty stuff about fellow designers. Your last collection was AMAZING. I think it was unfair that they said there wasn't enough of you in that line. In my opinion, Chloe was a "safe pick" for them. Good luck with all that you do, and I'll be looking for your stuff in stores! Always speak your mind and never settle.

You're collection was lovely.
I saw no wickey-wack, whatsoever.
Good luck with your work, Santino.

PLEASE FATHER MY CHILDREN SANTINO

Santino, I hope you're not gay because I want to marry you! You are amazing and would be an asset to anything you enter into. Your collection was beautiful and cohesive. I couldn't believe the judges couldn't see how amazing it was. I am so excited to see what beautiful things will come from you. Good luck and make it work!

santino-
I love love loved your collection and you were robbed. I don't care if people didnt like your personality, the show should have been based on talent. I can't imagine that anyone could have objectively looked at each of the collections and not known hands down that you were the winner. Cloe is a horrible designer and as you said before simply a brillant pattern maker. Daniel would be a great designer at Banana Republic making commercial appeal clothing. You deserve to a be a famous designer and will be. congrats on the amazing collection, I look forward to seeing more from you!

Dear Santino,

I wish you the very best in life and I know in my heart you will move on to bigger and better things. Even though I am a fan of Daniel and Chloe, I feel you all have talent and everybody was blessed to see it. May God Bless you and reward you with a kinder spirit. It is possible to be nice as well as talented and I believe you are capable of both.

Oh Santino.. where do I begin.
I'm a 45 year old overweight, poorly dressed midwest housewife. I have absolutely no interest in fashion what so ever. How on earth did I end up watching Project Runway.
You my dear YOU!
You were fantastic. I watched that show every damn week because of you!
My God you are funny. I wish they would have show so much more of your Tim Gunn impressions and your musicals!
Your designs were fun, exciting and creative. You pushed it to the edge.. um well.. sometimes you went over the edge, but that was even more fun!
I was really touched when you took Tim to meet your friend and his little girl was so happy on your lap. You have a good soul.
Your final collection was breath taking. You have what it takes to make it. You deserve it.
I'm glad you didn't win PR. You will go much farther without it.
Thanks for the being on the show.
It was great.

Dear Santino,
I loved your collection. The colors, the movement, the style, everything was beautiful. I don't understand why you didn't win. I didn't agree with Heidi about the boobs thing. It must be incredibly hard to make a collection for models you haven't seen til just before the show! Best of luck always.

Santino--As a psychotherapist I was not surprised by your self-confidence/narcissism on PJ this season. It is typical of those who achieve great things in our society and acts as an excellent cover for feelings of inadequacy as you admitted. However, I was surprised that money won over art in the final outcome. I am disappointed that the producers of PJ sold out. My best to you always!

Santino-
You ROCK! My six year old daughter (who obviously has great taste already) and I are now huge fans of your talent. We were sure you would win, but as many others have said you are a WINNER.
We wish you continued success and all the happiness and joy you can stand.
Karey and Lindsay, fans from SoCal

I am a fan. I don't think any show on television has captured myself and my family so tight as this season's Project Runway. Had you been eliminated, I would have quit watching. The line you made ofr New York was spectacular. It was what a real person would wear. I know of no one who would wear the clothing I viewed made by Chloe and Daniel's clothes were beautiful, but I could go buy those today. There was no vision. I would really like to see an unscripted show with you and Andre. You guys really gave the show heart and soul. I will be keeping my eyes open for the Santino label. Don't ever give up. You are great.

Santino, man, you were ROBBED! I can't wait for you to put a line out.

You were clearly the most talented person on the show, with a breathtakingly beautiful final collection that should have blown the judges away. I'm not a praying type, but it's in my hopes and prayers that this show launches you to all the success you deserve as a designer!

I'm so glad that Project Runway finally brought us a true talent. Although Chloe won, I think that your show outshown Chloe's, Daniel's and even last years' contenders. Plus, everyone knows that it's a curse to win a reality show. It's always the 2nd and 3rd place winners that end up succeeding in their fields afterward. I really hope we see some true Santino work in the future. Until then, I'll wear my Santino T-shirt.

great job on the collection! you really did deserve to win, but you will go far anyways. design some stuff for we size-14 girls too, ok? we love you!

Santino you were so fabulous!!!! I love your stuff so much. I think that you work on the runway reflected the more sophisticated stuff you had done on the show ( did Nina not remember your Nicky Hilton dress. I thought the clothes were amazing and would gladly wear any of them. You are going to be the star from season 2. I think you rock and are ten million times more interesting, beautiful and talented than anyone else on the show

Honestly, Mr. S, you crack me up. Best of luck with everything.

Santino, you was robbed! You TOTALLY deserved to win--your collection was by far the most beautiful and interesting. Now rock on, but don't go getting too big for your britches!

When and where are we going to see your work next, so we can all come throw ridiculous money at you?

--Lisa

aww i was so sad you didn't win. from an artist to an artist: i think you have amazing talent and i find great inspiration in your work. i really REALLY hope to see you designing with the big dogs in the near future, and i think some day santino will be in the mix of versace, ralph lauren, dolce and gabbana, armani etc. you are great great great, so please keep that original style and dont mold to fit what others want you to be. much love =) -Sadie from Santa Barbara, CA

without slamming the other contestants who in their own right had lovely talent, you are the part of a dialogue that will go on; you're timeless. you have made a name for yourself, your family, friends and the artistic-eclectic community at large. you are interesting, even through a television set, i can only imagine the real you. do me a favor and keep us abreast of your progress. best of luck. fondly, trixie *

Santino. I am a 15 year old budding fashion journalist. Everything about you evokes glamour to me, your name, your demeanor, your clothing and your creativity. Your flair for fashionw was apparent to me from the beginning of the show, and I love your positive attitude regarding the show's outcome. I really cannot wait until I get a Vogue with your clothes being advertised within the pages, becuase Santino, you are amazing. The segment about your life in LA on P.R.'s first finale almost brought me to tears becuase I realized just how wrong I had been about you. You are an amazingly talented designer and creative voice, and as an avid fashion fanatic, I think we all know haute couture needs some Santino Rice. Sincerely, Kate.

Hey santino i loved your clothes on project runway you was the shit on the show. i'll be waiting for your line to come out!! you was the most creative on the show, you rock baby love johanna

hi santino..i have been making clothes since i was 11, and i'm an OLDER girl...so of course project runway has been a true inspiration. but second season was best..you are myall time favorite. i even have that orange tiger shirt, found it at goodwill before pr was even on..i wish you all the luck in the world! you rocked the show better than anyone, and i think leave your mark in our memory the deepest. a great big fan,
xxdeb

SANTINO your clothes ROCK! Keep up the great work! You are creative, innovative, talented beyond belief and I can't wait to be able to hopefully buy some of your clothes one day! By the way, your sense of humor is awesome and the only truly talented people on Project Runway are you and Jeffrey! I'm sure Seal will tell Heidi "Auf Wiedersehen" one day... hehe

Santino, you should have won your season and the return challenge. They gave it to Daniel because Chloe was a loser, who should have not won, and Daniel and Tim are very friendly. You are the very best ever!!!!!!
